18 days and counting ....

We have a bucket list.!
We own an off road camper trailer, and we would like to take this trailer over every four wheel drive track in Australia. We have already travelled extensively in South Australia and Have travelled the Eastern half of the Savanah way. Now our plans are to complete this track plus several others. SO to the maps.

Victor Harbor is a beautiful seaside town located on the South Coast of South Australia. Picturesque, but so cold and wet in the winter. I am a warm weather person and don't look forward to these wintery months spent south. Our first criteria for this trip was a four wheel drive track, our second to head North, third to flee the cold months of winter. Only one place to go....to the tropics.

We have been thinking about this trip for 4 years, since we last visited Katherine and Nitmulik (Katherine) Gorge. We often spoke of the fact that we would like to see this region just after the wet season had finished. We wan't to return to this region. Like all major plans it grew, and grew, by thousands of Kilometers as we extended our plans to take in the rest of the Savannah Way, Tanami Dessert track, Gibb River road, and of course the Kimberley Ranges.

The highlight of our trip is of course, will be the magical Kimberley region in Western Australia, and only 18 sleeps to go!
